Carbon nanotubes, also known as Ba-based tubes, are one-dimensional quantum materials with special structures (the radial size is nanometer, the axial size is micrometer, and both ends of the tubes are basically sealed). Carbon nanotubes are mainly composed of hexagonal carbon atoms to form several to dozens of coaxial circular tubes. Maintain a fixed distance between layers, about 0.34nm, with a diameter of 2~20 nm.
According to different orientations of carbon hexagon along the axial direction, it can be divided into three types: Sawtooth, armchair and spiral. Among them, spiral Carbon nanotubes have chirality, while serrated and armchair Carbon nanotubes have no chirality. According to the number of layers of graphene sheets, they can be divided into: Single-walled Carbon nanotubes, SWCNTs multi-walled Carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs).
It has been more than 30 years since the discovery of carbon nanotubes, from the initial high expectation to the later cold, just like the discovery of all new materials to the application process, these are the processes that carbon nanotubes must go through. In 2020, the carbon nanotube industry will continue to move, OCSiAl will expand its production capacity in Europe to commercialize as many as 100 tons of single-walled carbon nanotubes every year, Cabot 0.8 billion will purchase Sanshun nanometer, the team of academician Peng Lianmao and Professor Zhang Zhiyong from the electronics department of Peking University made a major breakthrough in "high density semiconductor carbon nanotube parallel array for high performance electronics"...... Various signs show that 2020 is a year when the carbon nanotube industry broke out.
